Membership Requirements
Requirements to Rush PhiDE:

Must be on a pre-medical track

Must attend one informational session. Attendance will be recorded.

Have a minimum of a 3.2 UF GPA

We do not accept first semester freshman at this time.

We accept students who transferred from another community college or university. We will require you to show us your transcript as proof of your GPA.

Be able to maintain a 75% attendance rate at events and chapter meetings.

Pay New Member Dues at the beginning of the Fall semester ($225). Returning member dues are collected every Fall, and are $167 per year. There is a scholarship available to one new member and one returning member every semester that covers dues in full.
Membership Application
The first round of our rush cycle includes a membership application and a formal rush session. Prior to the rush events, please promptly submit your application. The application, included below, contains several free-response prompts which require a considerable amount of personal details. Please provide as much input as possible to allow the Executive Board to have a clear picture of you and your passion for medicine!

Pre-Rush
Socials
Pre-rush socials are non-mandatory casual activities that you can attend to gauge interest in our fraternity. At each event, a few of our members will be hanging out to chat about why they love PhiDE! We hope to create a relaxed environment to help potential new members learn more about PhiDE in a non-stressful setting.

Have a little extra time in your day? Stop by Opus and enjoy a cup of joe with our members! Proceeds go towards our philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and it's a great way to get to know our phamily while enjoying a hot drink!

Join us in making hand drawn pins for patients at UF Shands Children's Hospital! We're partnering with Pins for Purpose in making the kiddos' lives a little brighter; so come make a difference in our community with us!

Invitationals
January 30, 2026
A select number of applicants will be invited to round two of our rush cycle: invitationals and interviews. At invitationals, applicants will have the opportunity to portray their passion for medicine on a deeper level! Please check your email to determine if you have been selected to move forward in our process.

Interviews
February 1 - 4, 2026
Interviews will be 20 minutes long with three of our members. You will receive word from the board about the status of your membership in the fraternity 1-2 days after your interview.

Time: 9 AM - 6 PM (time will vary by PNM)
Bid Day
February 8, 2026
At this time, you will be offered a bid to join Phi Delta Epsilon via phone call. If you choose to accept, you will be invited to bid day.
